According to the latest report from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), which continuously monitors air pollution in Europe, emissions of the main pollutants from industry and road traffic have decreased by 39 to 59 percent between 2015 and 2025.

The greatest progress was made in pollutants such as nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5), and sulfur dioxide (SO2). These emissions mainly originate from industrial processes and road traffic – two of the most significant sources of air pollution in Europe.
